A Lakes Region Holiday Tradition
Every Thanksgiving weekend, Northeastern Ballet Theatre brings Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker to the stage in Wolfeboro. Follow Clara through the holiday party, the battle with the Mouse King, the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of the Sweets. The production is directed by Edra Toth, former prima ballerina and NBT's artistic director.
The cast blends NBT Company members and guest artists with students from our Dover and Wolfeboro studios, from age 3 through adult. Many of the dancers on stage are your neighbors' kids.
It's a full-length ballet sized for families: about two hours with an intermission, plus costumes, snow and the Sugar Plum Fairy that young audiences remember.
